Hello! I’m Robert Melstein and I am running for a trustee seat on the Ossining Board of Education for the 2023-2026 term.

My wife Jen and I moved to Ossining in 2010 and our son Max is a student in fourth grade at Claremont School. We love living here. I am especially grateful to have grown up with families from diverse cultures and backgrounds, which is one of the key reasons we picked Ossining.

I've been actively involved with the Ossining Union Free School District:

• Attended - and participated in - nearly every School Board meeting for the last couple of the years
• Member of the district's Facilities Advisory Committee, which is currently planning major capital improvements, renovations and additions to our school buildings.
• Ossining Upper Elementary PTA Board Member and Delegate.
• Class parent.
• The only candidate in the race endorsed by the Ossining Teachers Association.

In the greater Ossining community, I’m a coach and Assistant Commissioner of the Ossining AYSO Region 201 Soccer Board, Ossining Recreation Center Basketball Coach and an Ossining JCYS Baseball Assistant Coach.

I graduated from Binghamton University (SUNY) earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with a concentration in Marketing.

My professional marketing and communications experience, including managing large teams and budgets, has spanned Fortune 100 companies in industries including telecommunications, health care, aviation and financial services. 

Aside from spending time with my family, I enjoy traveling, watching sports – baseball (Yankees), hockey (Rangers), football (Giants, though I don't root against the Jets, either!) and classic cars – especially from 1970s and 1980s.
